In meditation, it’s closing the eyes and becoming more aware of the moment—whether that’s tuning to the space between your thoughts, a sensation on the skin, or the pulse of your heartbeat. The heart is the largest source of bio-electricity in the body and it creates an electromagnetic field around the body. The size of this field changes based on your emotional state. Basically, your mood is encoded in the heart’s magnetic field.... which is how you can Gauge the vibe of someone else without them saying a word. Today, I encourage you to expand your field from a place if alignment... from a place of inner knowing or satisfaction. Not feelin’ that right now? Don’t you just love that feeling of sinking your feet into warm, soft sand? The feet are full of sensory receptors that transmit information to your brain and body, and yoga is one of the best tools to enhance the quality of information you absorb with them. The feet are also an anchor point that help you focus in the present moment. I use awareness of the feet in my lower grounding loop meditation to stay calm and grounded.
