The captivating narration of an audio book can transport you through space and time as you get caught up in a wonderful story. Yet how often do you get to meet the man behind the voice? He has narrated over 100 audiobooks to date, and for over a decade, he has worked on the Emmy Award television series “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” as the stand-in for the host. PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Did you know that it takes an entire day to record roughly 1 hour of audio material? And that is before an author has a chance to listen to it and request revisions! That estimation also omits the narrator’s reading and note-taking of a book before they go behind the microphone. That means for the 10-hour audio book that is Miracle on the Mountainside, there were weeks of recording and collaborating to get the final product refined. I’m beyond pleased with how Ben Hauck brought this story to life. You can find out more about the book and listen to the first chapter here.
